Assign name to face ace using combination of two attributes

I am looking for a journal that does something like this.
1) Select one or more faces of a body.
2) For each face selected, extract and use the values of attr1 and attr2 to create attr3.
3) set each face name to attr3

Seems like something like this would already exist. Has anyone seen something close?
