Dear All,
Can I get a journal or macro to make a through pocket in 60mm thick rib to reduce a material weight and automatically it will reduce the cost of the cast item.
Ex:- Assume there is Rib of 60mm X 400mm X 400mm and in the middle of rib making through pocket leaving a specified material from all four edges.
re: pocket rib
With the right modeling technique, I'm pretty sure NX has the tools to do what you need without the use of a journal or macro. Try creating the rib then using the shell command to hollow it out before uniting it to the main body.
If I've misunderstood your situation, please email me a simple part file that demonstrates the initial and final configuration of the desired rib (info@nxjournaling.com).
