Selection filters for features

Does anybody know how to set up selection filters for features. I want to be able to limit selection to ...
(1) A Datum Plane
(2) A helix
(3) A Hole feature
(4) An Edge Blend feature

I don't really care whether the code uses Mask Triples or some other masking technique.
