Editing an annotation text

How can I edit an annotation text in a drawing?
Thanks

I would suggest recording a journal while performing an edit to an existing annotation. The recorded code will show you the steps necessary; you can then modify the code to meet your needs.

Edit Text command is not supported by recording

The "edit text" command may not be fully supported, but if you double click a note object and change the input text, it is recorded.

What type of annotation are you trying to edit?

I am trying to edit view labels, so when i double click on it style window opens

I don't recommend editing the view label directly. Is this related to the zone information notes for section views? If so, I would recommend creating the zone information as a separate note and associating it to the view label (or the view itself) so that when the view label moves, the note follows. In interactive NX, you can associate notes to each other with the "Edit -> annotation -> origin..." command. The new note can have a specified X, Y offset from an existing note (or view label).

I have sent a mail to you, could you please see the differences between "sheet after" and "sheet before" in the drawing? Actually I thought the better way to edit labels to solve my problem. Because I need to add cross zone informations also to Point letters or smt like that. I explained all of my concerns in the drawing that I have sent

I mean each label (which specifies point, view or plane) has a letter which is 1.6 times bigger than normal words. I mean for a point label it is written "POINT <C1.6>A<C>" . So If I searc for only "<C1.6>" in all of the labels or texts in the drawing, I will be able to get the labels that have Point or view letter. then I will add cross zone informations automaticly by editing these labels next to its letters. I thought this way would be better to solve my problem, what do you think about it?

I would be hesitant to edit the view label directly to add my own information to it; but that's not to say that you can't or shouldn't. I think that file maintenance would be easier if a separate note is created for the zone information and associated to the view label (or the view itself). If someone turns off the view label and turns it back on, your custom text is lost; a separate note would lose association to the view label, but the information would not be lost.

The above is my preference, but whether it matters or not in your workflow is up to you.

Actually yours is pretty good, is there any way to add cross references like you did for section labels?

Unfortunately, the associative zone information notes can only refer to drafting views; not dimensions, notes, labels, etc.

There is some code in the link below to find the drawing zone information of a dimension, but the resulting note will not be associative (i.e. when the dimension moves, the note will not update).

Actually that was why I considered to use searching letter method, but as you told me it is not reliable for view labels. But may be I only can do it for Point or Plane labels because they are already not associative. for views and sections I will use your way. I will try to find alternative ways. thank you so much, you are great
