Encrypt vb code and run inside NX

Hi All,

I am new here. I have a question that, can we encrypt vb code inside .vb file & run inside NX.?

I know that we can compile vb file into .dll & run in NX. But is there any option to encrypt vb file there by disallowing others to edit the code.

There are no options that I know of to encrypt the vb code and still allow it to run in NX. If you are worried about coworkers modifying the code, you can change the permissions on the file or containing folder to be read-only for the unwashed masses. Where I currently work, we have a folder on the network for common NX files (templates, journals, custom menu items, etc) that is read-only for all the CAD users (except a certain few). This allows everyone to use the templates, journals, etc, but not change them.
