Hello All,
Is it possible to make a plane surface in round figure by selecting a surface?
Example- As off now I am using a point to point move option to make plane surface round figure ( in 5mm multiple ).Hence it is required for machining purpose so is it possible to make journal which will move the plane surface to nearest round figure dimension ( in 5mm multiple).
re: multiple planes
In the "datum plane" command, you can specify an "offset" dimension and "number of planes" and it will create multiple datum planes for you. Alternately, you can create one datum plane then use the "pattern geometry" command to create more offset planes.
Will either of the options above work for you, or do you need something different?
No, I have different
No, I have different requirements.I am talking about solid body face should be moved to round figure dimension( 5mm increments).
Example -if, I am measuring a rib dimension from UCS X= 107.5mm. By macro or journal is it possible to move to nearest 5mm increment dimension like X=105mm.
I am only talking about solid body face. Hence we design the model in the non-parametric method. Not talking about creating a multiple planes.
I tried to explain my requirements hope you will understand.
re: move body face
Does the synchronous command "move face" work on this model? If so, your journal could measure from the UCS to the face, then use "move face" to get what you need.
I tried with move face option
I tried with move face option. Hence, when I go from point to point move option, then only my requirement will be fulfilled . In my NX machining file I will be having 'n' number of surfaces to machine with a round figure dimension.
My requirement - when I select a surface by journal or some other method which will help surface to move into 5mm incremental value or when I select a surface and pick on the same surface I should get X, Y, Z dimension so that I can edit the dim value to make surface round figure.
